Christmas is fast approaching and I can’t wait to get the tree up, brighten the house up with Christmas lights, and spread festivity EVERYWHERE! Even the bathroom gets given a festive touch.
But we all know how expensive Christmas is and if you’re like me; you dread having to part with so much money for one day and plead for January payday. It can become so stressful making your pay check stretch. Which is why I hate splashing out on Christmas decor for it to sit in a box for 11 out of 12 months of the year. Why can’t we become DIY enthusiasts or savvy at Christmas and not splash out? I have put together some ideas that have inspired me to become more conscious of the price of decorations this Christmas… and in some cases, they are just plain genius! I’m not going to lie about the fact I have only recently discovered how amazing colour correcting is and now I can’t live without doing it on a daily basis. I suffer from really bad red cheeks – it isn’t a heat controlled thing, as a natural ginger I have naturally rosy cheeks, which I have always tried to cover with layer upon layer of foundation and powder.
As well as rosy cheeks I often break out in horrible, large red spots which as we all know aren’t easy to cover! I have always attempted to cover them in a bog standard porcelain concealer which in most cases just made my skin dry.
I am a massive fan of makeup videos on Instagram and Facebook, I could watch them endlessly. The more and more I watched the more I noticed colour correction being used and knew I needed to give it a try. Continue reading “Sleek Colour Corrector Palette”
I love Real Technique brushes! So when I first saw the metallic range I fell in love. But if I’m being honest I wasn’t willing to spend £18- £25 per brush on the new set. As beautiful as they were I knew I couldn’t get the entire range without having to splash out – because lets admit, they are too beautiful to just buy one.

I stumbled across this Real Technique Bold Metals Collection with an RRP of £60, but the TK Maxx price of….. Continue reading “Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection”

I have seen the #Howmuchismyfaceworth tag going round for a little while now and thought it was great! Being able to see what makeup looks people can do with different makeup, budget or expensive! So here is mine….

I wasn’t going to review this product but it is just too good not to! The Maybelline “The Nudes” Palette is one of the best drug store eyeshadow palettes I’ve owned. For a great price of £9.99 it really is a great product.
Although Urban Decay’s eyeshadow palettes are deemed to be everyones must haves I do believe for a drugstore product this is a great cheaper alternative. Continue reading “Maybelline “The Nudes” Eyeshadow Palette”
Every girl should have their number one (or 5) go to lipstick… and I’m going to reveal mine! Mac Honeylove and Mac Velvet Teddy are both gorgeous nudes that create two different twists to a makeup look.
Nudes have been huge this season but there are so many variations that it is hard to find the perfect one. Nudes vary from coral peaches, “barely there” baby pinks and Continue reading “The Ultimate Mac Nudes”
