This time last year I had all my cards written, presents wrapped and felt as organised as ever! This year is definitely a different story. It has come around so quick. Christmas is a great time of year for many people but the build up can become quite stressful and very expensive! This year I have definitely tried sticking to a tighter budget. Compared to last year, I now have bills and priorities which means being more cautious with my money.
We all want our gifts to look sophisticated, cute and obviously festive. There is nothing worse than tacky cartoon wrapping paper, obviously unless its for kids. The only image I could find of last years Christmas Wrapping Combo is to the left..
This year I have gone for something a little more festive; removing the black and going for a nice traditional “paper bag” brown, with gorgeous red accents AND all on a budget!
My Asda Christmas Bargains
With the wrapping paper on a great offer I managed to buy 2 roll of the pictured and a roll of tartan (all measuring at 5m each!) for just £5! It is great quality and also has a printed grid on the back to ensure you cut in straight lines.
Who doesn’t love putting cute accents on their gifts to make them look extra special? Asda has a great selection of different accessories for gift wrapping – ribbons, bows etc..
This year I went for something a little bit different… TWILL! I just think it looks so chic and cute contrasting the red and matching the brown. And at just £1 for 10m it was a steal! As well as twill I purchase some thin and thick red ribbon (£1 for 3m). I normally use the really thin ribbon that comes in the little balls; the plasticcy/foil stuff? But this year I went for fabric, with the price being so good!
The final finishing touch; which I completely fell in love with – are the cute little bells. Available in both red and gold, for just £2 for 12 bells they were just too adorable to walk away from!
So guys, what is your Christmas Combo this year and where did you get it from? I would love to see some pictures!
